Welcome to our New Home!

Welcome to our New Home!

Hi and Welcome (or welcome back) to Dive NI’s blog. Sorry we have been absent for a while, but changes are afoot, with many updates happening over the last year or so and many yet to come. First of all, a reminder of our new URL – we are now operating from dive-ni.org.

To celebrate being back online, we are inviting all our followers to come on a dive with us! We have some excellent footage from January at the Inner Lees, winding through the SS Empire Tana.

Watch Here!

The SS Empire Tana was a WWII Liberty Ship brought into the lough to be decommissioned after the war; but while being towed it struck a reef and broke into two pieces.

Stay tuned here for more about this wreck and other dive sites in Northern Ireland!

We will be continuing to change things up a bit here in the next few months, and we hope you’ll join us as we venture forwards for the next steps of our journey. Keep an eye on this site as we will be updating more regularly, and feel free to pass the new address on to anyone who may be interested in seeing what’s coming!

Call for submissions!

If you have a dive site, dive club, or dive footage you’d like to see featured on our site, you can submit images and videos via our Submit a Site form https://dive-ni.org/submit-a-site/ or directly by email to diveni.info@gmail.com

If you are part of a dive club and would like to feature an event on our blog, get in touch!

We’d love to spotlight more images, videos and events from our followers!

For now, though, have fun and dive safe, we’ll see you shortly!
